About Ntokozo Happy Msiza
Researcher • Mentor • Advocate for Agriculture and STEM
My Story
I am Ntokozo Happy Msiza, a passionate researcher and advocate for agriculture and STEM education. My journey began at the University of Fort Hare, where I earned my BSc in Pasture Science (2014–2018). I went on to complete my MSc in Animal Science (2019–2020) at North West University, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Animal Science (2021–ongoing), specializing in Pasture Science.
Pasture Science is more than research to me—it is a calling. It is the science of conserving and improving grasslands, restoring degraded rangelands, and providing sustainable feeding strategies for livestock. In a country like South Africa, where rangelands support both farming and biodiversity, this work contributes directly to food security, environmental conservation, and sustainable development.
